1. Do a good warm-up.

2. Choose the right equipment. 
Learning to swim with snorkeling equipment does not mean that you can swim after removing the equipment, so you must choose qualified mirrors, breathing tubes and flippers; only in this way can you ensure safety. 
Otherwise, any of the factors such as leakage of breathing tube, broken mirror belt and broken flippers during snorkeling may bring fatal danger. 
3. Master the corresponding skills. 
Before snorkeling, be sure to master the corresponding skills, such as diving mirror, breathing tube and drainage skills, as well as breathing skills in the water, and so on. 
Before snorkeling, you can find someone such as a diving instructor to guide snorkeling skills. It is recommended to practice in the pool first. 
4. Put on gloves. 
It is best to bring your own gloves when you float and dive, one is to make it easy to grasp things, and the other is to avoid being scratched by the sharp objects on the reef when you need to hold or stabilize your body near the reef (because there are always waves pushing you around in the water, so it's easy to hit the reef). General work gloves are fine.

5. Choose long sleeves.

6. Put on your life jacket. 
Be sure to wear a life jacket before snorkeling, and be careful not to take it off midway. 
And because you need to vent the gas of the lifejacket before snorkeling to reduce buoyancy in order to dive, so you also need to learn the inflatable method of the lifejacket on the surface. 
Specific method: first of all, hold the air outlet of the lifejacket in the left hand, and open the inflatable valve. At this time, the frog shoe kick method must be changed. After opening the feet back and forth and clamping back to the middle, there will be an impulse to rush out of the water. Take advantage of the time to rush out of the water to inhale, the body falls back into the water and then blows into the lifejacket, so that the air in the lifejacket can produce greater buoyancy.
